Last minute checklist for athletes and families heading to Badger Region tryouts Nov. 14-15

With all of the changes here in the 2020-21 club volleyball season, use this checklist to make sure you have all your ducks in a row as it pertains to things such as memberships through Sports Engine, COVID-19 protocols and much more.
Memberships
The first step to tryouts is making sure you have a current Badger Region membership. There no longer is a “tryout” membership. It is now a “fall” membership that allows athletes to attend any tune-up or tryout through Dec. 31. For a link to membership options, click here. As a heads up, parents much create a free profile and then purchase the junior membership in their athlete’s name. Please read the prompts carefully. It is much different than in years past.
Refunds
The Badger Region does not offer refunds on memberships. Please make sure to purchase the correct membership for yourself, your son or your daughter before clicking “buy.” Information on a member’s profile cannot be transferred to another member if a wrong purchase is made. That includes situations where mom buys a membership for herself, but meant to buy it for her son or daughter.
Membership Cards
Membership cards are much different than they were in Webpoint. You will receive an email confirmation when you purchase a Badger Region/USA Volleyball membership. On that email is a copy of your member card that you can print. It also includes a QR code that takes you to your profile in Sports Engine. All of these things can be printed when on your screen. Clubs have been asked to not request a membership card. Instead, they should be asking for the membership ID number. COVID-19 recommendations
The Badger Region has kept club directors up to date with best practices as it pertains to health and safety of all athletes, coaches and participants taking part in the tryout process. Click here to view COVID-19 guidelines shared with club directors over the course of the past few weeks.

Post-tryouts
Clubs will send electronic offers to athletes via Sports Engine in the form of a “club assignment request.” Please make sure to share the correct email address tied to the profile of the athlete so the club knows where to send the offer. Also, keep an eye out for such emails in your spam/junk email folders.
