BJ LeRoy – Treasurer (Former Board Member)

BJ LeRoy was in the group that formed the Badger Region in 1994, when there were fewer than 10 clubs in the state. He was the Northeast Representative on the first Badger Region board and served in the position from 1995 to 2002, and again from 2008 to 2018, when he was elect Treasurer.

BJ is CAP III certified and is a USAV cadre member, and he has been teaching IMPACT since 1995. He also serves as the region’s education contact. He takes coaching questions from all members, including training tactics, coaching philosophy, dealing with parents (and directors) and youth training. He has coached boys and girls from age 8 through adults since 1990. He is currently a coach in the WVA Lake Effect program in Sheboygan.

Outside of volleyball, BJ has been a project manager at an environmental consulting firm for 25 years, responsible for budgeting, contracting, staffing and technical direction.

He is a 1992 graduate of UW-Madison, and (with wife Shelli) has two volleyball players, Sam (in the backyard) and Carsyn (girls club.)
