Badger Region Beach Championships returns Aug. 13 at Milwaukee’s Bradford Beach

Two weeks ago we announced that the Badger Region Beach Championships are returning to Bradford Beach in downtown Milwaukee.

Now, we are confirmed, and the event will take place all on one day: Saturday, Aug. 13.

The reason we had to move dates to Aug. 13 only: There is a USA Triathlon event that is forcing the closure of the lakefront on both days of that previous weekend, which would have prevented parking and access to Bradford Beach. We hope this does not cause a big inconvenience among those who want to support the state championships of Beach Volleyball in the Badger Region.

According to our calendars, there are no other major beach events on Aug. 13, so there is no conflict. And keeping the event to Saturday only allows athletes a day to prepare for high school tryouts.
