Badger Region Board of Directors, Staff convene for two days of strategic planning sessions

On May 14-15, members of the Badger Region Volleyball Board of Directors, staff and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee came together in downtown Milwaukee to dedicate the weekend to the future of Badger Region in a strategic planning session.
A necessity for any business in a changing and competitive environment, attendees engaged in leadership and resource development training, reviewed feedback gathered from the membership through surveys and conversations, and worked in large and small groups in five different areas: Leadership, Communications, Services, Resource Development and Programs and Events. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was woven throughout the five areas in the strategic priorities developed and presented by the groups.
The overall themes of the priorities focused on continuing to build strong groundwork for organizational structure, outreach and programming to reach underserved communities and groups throughout the state, as well as enhancing the programs and service to our current members.
The next steps for the strategic planning process are for the core leadership team to review and refine into SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time-based) the initiatives brought forward, a review process by the board, staff and DEI committee and finally implementation and communication of goals.
