Teague Prichard has been involved in Volleyball for over 20 years, first as a junior player, (a setter that loved to hit) at Madison Memorial High School and a USAV club player at Wisconsin Select out of Madison. Post juniors, he played for UW Madison’s men’s club team and then on to coaching at the High School and club level in the Madison area. After taking a few years off from the game, his former teammates and coaches said, “go ref”, the game needs folks that know the game.” So in 2010, started officiating at the High School and USAV levels and then added NCAA officiating. Prichard is currently a USAV Junior National official and has served as the Badger Region USAV officials liaison and training and advancement role since 2021. Prichard received the Badger Region’s Robert L. Lindsay meritorious service award in 2019.
Prichard is a member of PAVO and can be found working a variety of NCAA matches, from NJCAA to the BIG10 conference in a number of roles; as an official, line judge, scorer or official’s observer. Prichard served as the WIAA volleyball officials committee representative in 2015-16, officiated several State tournaments, and has worked to develop an officials consortium to develop training opportunities and consistency in the state.
Prichard’s moto is “grow the game through great officiating” at any level and it’s all about the players and the sport. Prichard is a continuous learner and fosters an environment for officials to increase their knowledge and confidence for any level of play. He constantly shares with others the high level of support and training that Badger Region offers officials through a talented and knowledgeable team of leaders, staff and the dedicated and passionate officials.
