Four Badger Region members among AVCA’s 2020 Club Award winners

Tuesday, July 28th, 2020

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the club awards for the 2020 season, which includes four Badger Region members. The Club Awards program is in its fifth year and recognizes deserving coaches in the youth/club volleyball community.

Club Coaches of the Year honorees will be recognized at the Jostens Coaches Honors event at the 2020 AVCA Convention in Omaha, NE (with many safety measures in place, the event will be held as planned Dec. 16-19 pending any changes issued by the CDC or local officials).

The AVCA is also announcing the inaugural class of AVCA Innovation Award and AVCA Net Works Award winners. These new awards were introduced to honor club coaches who went above and beyond to support their teams, club, and community despite the loss of much of the 2020 season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The AVCA is proud to recognize members of the Club volleyball community who met challenging times with continued dedication and enthusiasm.

Badger Region honorees include:

  • Girls 12s coach of the year: Alex Moe (Wisconsin Juniors)
  • Innovation award winner: Emma Kane (Wisconsin Blaze)
  • Net Works award winner: Casey Price (Wisconsin Juniors)
  • Net Works award winner: Kevin Scopoline (Madison Elite)

All of these individuals were also honored as part of the Badger Region/AVCA Region Awards Program.
