Emily Riese returned to Fond du Lac Fusion for the 2019-2020 season as the Head Coach for 12 Purple and 14 Purple. This was her seventh year coaching club, and she is also currently the girl’s varsity volleyball head coach at Fond du Lac High School. She has experience coaching every age group and has had five teams participate at USAV and AAU Nationals.

Emily started on varsity for four years at Fond du Lac High School. As an all-state player for three years, she earned first-team honors.  She also earned first-team all-tournament honors her senior year, when she helped lead the team to a second place finish at the 2011 state tournament.

Having participated in club volleyball since she was 9 years old, she played at nationals every year since she was 14. Her highest achievement came in the Nationals held at Atlanta where her team placed third overall and she earned a place on the All-Tournament Team.

Emily received a Division 1 scholarship to North Dakota State University and then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. At Green Bay her sophomore year, Emily earned 1st team all Horizon League honors as a setter leading the league in assists per game.
