First Sergeant Christopher R. Beron is currently an Army National Guard Company First Sergeant, Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

He was named Northwest Rep in September of 2017. He is also Club Director at Club Superior.

First Sergeant Beron began his military career as a power generator equipment operator in the 109th LEM Co, Minnesota Army National Guard, in Jan 1994.   In Sept 1996 he transferred to the 1-216th ADA as a man portable air defense system crewmember until May 2001 when he transferred to the Recruiting and Retention BN.

First Sergeant Beron worked for the Minnesota Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion as a Recruiting & Retention NCO and Recruiting & Retention Team Leader from May of 2001 to Oct 2009, he then transferred to the Wisconsin Army National Guard Nov 2009, as a Recruiting and Retention NCO in Eau Claire.  In 2011 he was assigned as the NCOIC & AG Marketing Specialist in the 82D Agri-business Development Team in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and deployed to Afghanistan Feb 2012 to Feb 2013.  After returning he was selected as Recruiting & Retention Section Chief of Det 2 A Co, Merrill and Det 1 A Co, Eau Claire, Feb 2014 to Aug 2016.  He was selected as the Recruiting & Retention BN Master Trainer Aug 2016 to May 2017.

First Sergeant Beron’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal W/ Campaign Star, the Armed forces Reserve Medal W/ M Device, Reserve Component Good Conduct Medal, NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Master Recruiting Badge.

Other notable achievements for 1SG Beron include the Master 7 award 2015 & 16 and Director 54 2006.

First Sergeant Beron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Health Management and a Master’s degree in Education both from the University of Wisconsin-Superior

First Sergeant Beron currently resides in Foxboro, Wis. With his wife Colleen, daughter Presley, and son Trenton.
