Wisconsin Boys High School Volleyball Top 10 Poll: Week 8 — Oct. 18, 2022
Here we are. Week 8 of the boys high school volleyball season. And once again Marquette comes out on top of this week’s Badger Region / Frisco Mo Top 10 poll. Marquette ended up being the No. 1-ranked team in the state seven of the eight weeks this season.
Several teams received a boost in their rankings after winning conference championships in the final regular season Top 10 poll. Marquette won the Greater Metro Conference, keeping them on top. Catholic Memorial won the Classic 8 Conference, which jumped them up to the 2 spot this week. Middleton and Cedarburg won the Big 8 and North Shore Conferences respectively, which bumped them each up one.
For the most part, coaches who voted in the Aug. 30 poll picked the same Top 10 teams in Week 1 as they did in Week 8. The only two teams who did not appear in the Week 1 poll who appeared in the Week 8 poll were Sussex Hamilton and Cedarburg who replaced Franklin and Waukesha West (both of which were honorable mention this week). This week starts Regionals for the WIAA High School Boys Volleyball teams. Congratulations to all the conference champions, and good luck to everyone in the post season.
