Athletes and parents: How to access your junior referee modules

Tuesday, December 6th, 2022

Each year, the Badger Region requires clubs to train their coaches and youth athletes to line judge, score, libero track and be a second referee. The Badger Region will not withhold an athlete from competition if the training is not complete, but can sanction the club if it has not fulfilled requirements. Clubs have the option to let coaches and athletes take online modules to satisfy their requirement, or clubs can bring in a certified official to train in person.

If your club allows you take the online modules, use the following steps:

1. Log in to Sports Engine.
2. Click on “household” in the left rail
3. Click on the “tile” of the coach/athlete who will be taking the online modules
4. Click “view details” on the Badger Region tile under the coach or athlete’s profile.
5. Click the USAV Academy button at the top of the screen.
6. Click “Content Library” in the left rail and junior modules should be auto-loaded in all memberships (17-years-and-younger). Otherwise you can search for “junior” in the content library.

Do not wait until the last second to finish your modules. Give yourself a couple days before your club’s deadline to make sure if you hit a technical glitch that you still have time to complete them.
