Anne Slattery founded the Midwest Penguins Volleyball Club with co-director, Janice Siebert, in 1997. As an entrepreneur, growing up in a family business, she understands the value of service and the product.

Over the past 15 years, the club has grown from 4 teams to 21 teams focused on the training and development of athletes and coaches both on and off the court. The club has had the privilege of having several Penguin teams represented at the USAV Junior Nationals.

In addition to her 16 years of club coaching experience, Anne also was the Women’s Volleyball Head coach at Carroll College in Waukesha WI 2001-2005 and has coached High School Varsity since 2006. Anne also volunteers at several local parochial parishes coaching teams, instructing youth clinics, and hosting coaching clinics.

Slattery is both CAP I and CAP II certified, and in 2000, Anne became a certified IMPACT clinician for USA Volleyball and instructs several clinics annually.

Anne has served on the Badger Region board of directors since 1998.

In 2010, Anne started Empowering Change through Healthy Opportunities, a not for profit organization making a difference in the wellness and health of individuals and families.

Slattery Graduated from Marquette with a business degree and earned her CPA license. She ran a family business for 10 years before going into Public Accounting for 11 years, and is now a controller for a new and emerging business.

“I love to make a difference in others.”

In 2013, USA Volleyball named Anne Slattery Outstanding Program Director in the nation. The award was presented at USA Volleyball’s annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah and is given annually to an individual involved in local junior volleyball development.

In addition, Slattery was also honored with the Badger Region’s esteemed Leif Storvik Award for her dedication and support of the game of volleyball. The Badger Region Volleyball Association established The Leif Storvik Award to recognize and honor individuals, teams or organizations that have made a positive impact to the sport of volleyball.
