Buckle your seatbelts for five days of High Performance Championships. The Badger Region is sending three teams: A Girls International Youth Team (born in 2000 and after), a Girls National Select Team (born in 2002 and after) and a Boys National Team (born in 1999 and after).

SUNDAY, JULY 23, 2017
- 2 p.m.: The teams have arrived home in Milwaukee and are in safe hands with family and friends. Thanks for a great week. Thank you for representing Badger Region so well.
- 7:30 a.m.: The teams have arrived in Orlando and is waiting for their connection to Milwaukee.
SATURDAY, JULY 22, 2017
- 6 p.m.: For the second time in the tournament, the Girls National Select fell to Lonestar Select. This time, 3-0. This lands the team in eighth place for the week in a very competitive National Select division.
- 2 p.m.: The Girls National Select team fell to Iowa Select Red in four sets in the first round of the silver bracket and is will play for seventh place against the Lonestar Select team at 4 p.m. (Central Time).
- 1:30 p.m.: The Boys National Youth team ended their week on a winning note, defeating the team from Saskatchewan, Canada, in five sets. The team finished in 13th place and a record of 3-5.
- 12:30 p.m.: In their final match of the week, the Girls International Youth team fell to TAY from Canada by scores of 16-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-19. The team finished the tournament in 12th place with a record of 2-6.
FRIDAY, JULY 21, 2017
- 5 p.m.: The Girls International Youth Team showed off a victory on the live stream by defeating Iroquois International Youth, 3-1, on Court 4 this afternoon. Congrats girls!
- 3 p.m.: After going up 1-0, the Girls National Select team fell to Ohio Valley Region, 3-1, which now puts them in the Silver Bracket tomorrow where they will play Iowa 9:15 a.m. (Central Time). The girls will finish in 5th-8th place in the Girls National Selection Division made up of athletes born in 2002 and 2oo3.
- 2 p.m.: After an exhausting five-set match this morning, the Boys National Youth team fell to the USA Select A1 Stars, 3-1. The team will now play at team from Canada at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow (Central Time), the first time they will play a foreign team all tournament.
- 11:30 a.m.: After a series of amazing comebacks, the Girls International Youth team fell to the USA Select Team in five games on Court 2. Great effort ladies, it was fun to watch!!!
- 10 a.m.: The Girls International team (seen below) is on the livestream now!
- 9:30 a.m.: The Badger Region Boys National Youth team got their money’s worth of action this morning, defeating the USA Youth Continental White team, 3-2. The team had a letdown in the fourth set of the match, losing 25-13, but the team came back to win the fifth set 15-10.
- Today’s schedule includes two appearances by the Badger Region Girls International Youth Team on the USAV livestream (see link at top). That will take place at 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Central times). In other action, the Girls National Select team is playing for a spot in the Final Four of the Gold Bracket at 1 p.m. on Court 17. Court 17 can be viewed in the background of the Court 4 livestream!!! And the boys are playing now 7:30 a.m. and again at 11:15 a.m (Central Time). Good luck, everyone!
THURSDAY, JULY 20, 2017
- 7 p.m.: The Boys National Youth team battled a very talented Florida team, losing 3-1, in their final match of the day today. Team Florida Boys remains undefeated.
- 6 p.m.: The Girls International Youth team played the girls from Ontario, Canada, but fell short, 3-1. The team was down 17-24 in the fourth game and came back to tie it at 24 before falling 27-25.
- 4:45 p.m.: The Badger Region Girls Select Team came through with a big win just now against the USA Select Continental Team, 3-0. This guarantees our younger girls team a spot in either the Gold or Silver Bracket on the final day! The team will take on the Ohio Valley Region team 2 p.m. tomorrow for a spot in the Gold Bracket on Saturday.
- Things are looking better for the Badger Boys National Youth Team who defeated the USA Select Continental White team, 3-0, in pool play. The team is on the live stream at 4:45 p.m. today!
- 12:30 p.m. The Girls International Youth team fell to a USA Youth team, 3-0, to put them at 1-3 in pool play so far on the week.
- 11:15 a.m.: The Girls National Select team finishes pool play 3-1 and the only team to take a set off the very tough Lone Star Select Team. The team will not play in a crossover match to stay in the Gold Bracket at 3 p.m. (Central Time) against the USA Select Continental Red Team. Good luck, ladies!
- Today’s schedule starts off with the Girls National Select team playing at 9:15 a.m. Central Time against North Texas. Then at 11:15 a.m., the boys play a USA Team and the Girls International Youth team plays the USA Youth A1 Stars.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 19, 2017
- 8 p.m.: The Boys team fell behind 0-2 against SCVA but came back to tie it two games a piece. But the Badger Boys fell 16-14 in game five and are now 0-3 on the week. The team will play at 11:15 a.m. (Central Time) against USA Select Continental White.
- 7:45 p.m. The Girls International Youth team lost to one of the top teams in the tournament in Team Florida. The scores were 25-15, 25-12, 25-11.
- 6 p.m.: The Girls National Select team fell to Lonestar Select 25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 29-27. It was a hard fought battle of back and forth volleyball throughout the whole match. The girls will play at 9:15 a.m. (Central) against another team from Texas called North Texas Select.
- 3 p.m.: The Boys National Youth team fell to the Lone Star Region’s Youth team 25-19, 25-11, 25-20. The team will play at 6:45 p.m. Central Time.
- 11:30 a.m.: The Girls International Youth team picked up its first win of the weekend and the Girls National Select team won its second in a row this morning. The International Youth team won 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-19. The Select team won 25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 25-17. Let’s hope for an early day Badger Region sweep when the boys play at 1 p.m. Central Time. Go Badger Region.

TUESDAY, JULY 18, 2017
- 7 p.m.: Opening ceremonies are under way, and the teams got to hear an inspiring keynote speech from gold medalist Aldis Berzins. That was followed by a blacklight party for the athletes put on by #adidas
- 5 p.m.: After getting a very late start on due to other matches running long, the Boys National Youth team fell to the NorCal Youth team, 3-0.
- 1 p.m.: The Girls Select Team won a very tight match against the Puget Sound Select Team, 26-24, 25-17, 26-28, 27-25. The team will play two matches tomorrow, one against Arizona Select and one against Lonestar Select.
- 12:45 p.m.: The Girls International Youth team fell to USA Select A1 Blue 25-23, 25-18, 25-16 in their first match of the week. The team is off the rest of the day and plays two matches tomorrow (10:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m.) against Puget Sound and Florida, respectively.
- 11 a.m.: The Girls Select Team and the Girls International Youth team are both scheduled to play at 10:45 a.m. (CST). The International Youth team is also slated to play on Court 1 with live streaming, but there seems to be some technical difficulty at their end. Follow here.
MONDAY, JULY 17, 2017
- 5:45 p.m.: All three teams are preparing for tomorrow’s tournament with their final practices at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.
- 4:45 p.m.: The coaches are checking the teams in and all is going well.
- 3:45 p.m.: The teams arrive safely at Fort Lauderdale
- 11:07 a.m.: The teams arrives safely in Atlanta for a quick layover before heading to Fort Lauderdale.
- 9:25 a.m.: The teams depart Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport.
